Spread over 16 pastoral acres among native oak trees, Rolling Oaks Memorial Center features pristine grounds and facilities that are well maintained. This community treasure offers a perfect setting for meditation and reflection for each visitor.
Phase I and II of Rolling Oaks Memorial Center includes 10 memorial gardens— the Garden of Hope, the Garden of Serenity, Heritage Garden, Garden of Honor, Garden of Lobe, Garden of Peace, Memories and Legacy, and the Garden of Innocence for infants. ANGEL OF HOPE
Through the generosity of The Zack Thompson Foundation, a special Angel of Hope statue sits within Rolling Oaks Memorial Center. The Angel of Hope statue depicts the story of a woman who is mourning the loss of her child as she hovers at the base of an angel statue, The statue was donated as a as a place of reflection and remembrance for parents who have lost a child.
The Angel of Hope stems from the book by Richard Paul Evans, The Christmas Box, and was a holiday movie featuring Richard Thomas. At the time of installation in 2014, there were only three Angels of Hope in Texas, Coppell being the fourth. Currently there are six statues in the state.
The Zack Thompson Foundation Children’s Garden includes beautiful landscaping courtesy of community volunteers who participated in a community planting day. This project was a unique and beneficial community effort for all involved.
Through the Foundation, individuals, families and groups can purchase 12” x 12” pavers etched with inspirational messages destined for placement in the garden. The purchase of a memorial bronze butterfly is also available to families.
The Zack Thompson Foundation was formed to honor the son of Julie and Joe Thompson of Coppell. 19-year old Zack passed away in 2013 while attending college. His unexpected, untimely and unexplained death left the family wondering why and grieving. Zack was a graduate of New Tech High in Coppell.
